International House London is an established and well-known language school, with over sixty years of experience in providing language courses and teacher training programmes. Our spacious and fully equipped school is based near Covent Garden and we are a founding member of the International House World Organisation.

The internship

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who may be interested in starting a career in marketing and creative content creation. The successful candidate will be a creative, hard-working individual with a passion for producing content for various marketing platforms. While working closely with the TT & YL Marketing Manager, as well as wider sales and marketing team, potential activities will include creating and promoting content specifically Teacher Training and Young Learner courses. Content creation can range from video reels, images, extended written content for blog posts, web copy and social media content. This is the right opportunity for a self-starter and someone who is a positive, team-player.

Activities

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in collecting, creating and implementing the social media and general content required for Teacher Training & Young Learner promotion. Creating content for IH London blog and social media.
  • Producing engaging digital content, including relevant images and filming for video content.
  • Creating and editing photographs and videos to a professional standard using the Adobe Creative Cloud. (Training will be provided).
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in developing and increasing TT & YL content presence on the IH London blog - including authoring blog articles and developing interesting content to attract a global following.
  • Liaising and encouraging TT and YL departments and current students and teachers to collate newsworthy content including student testimonials for various platforms.
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in implementing social media advertising campaigns during seasonal promotional and start dates.
  • Visiting YL centres in Oxford, Cambridge and Frensham during the summer months.
  • Working closely with Marketing Manager and other staff to support new campaigns and initiatives.
  • Attending Marketing team meetings and 121 meetings with the Marketing Manager as available.
  • Proactive thinking – the opportunity to research, plan and propose ideas for engaging content of all forms.
  • Uploading blog articles on the IHL blog via CMS (training will be provided).
  • Carrying out some design work (training will be provided).
  • Updating web copy.
