Job description:

RingCentral is looking for a Marketing Intern that will thrive in a fast-paced, cutting-edge, technology-driven environment.
In this role, you will be assisting the marketing management team in executing their marketing strategy across multiple marketing channels. You will be given the opportunity to work within multiple marketing departments within RingCentral and bring your skills and initiatives to the table on a number of large and small campaigns.
Here at RingCentral, we appreciate whilst you are studying marketing at university, you may not yet have decided which area of marketing you wish to focus on. Whether that be, Events, Account Based Marketing (ABM), Campaigns, Digital or Content and PR. This is why, we have built our intern programme to give you a taste of all departments and allow you to get a feel for which area of marketing you prefer.
The programme will look like: Event Marketing - July – October 2023
  • You will support the marketing manager on planning for a busy Q4 schedule of events. Working on stand designs, speaker sessions and logistics for on-the-day execution. Events including: UCX, CC Expo and Retail Week Live.
  • Working with external vendors to book events for the following year, negotiating our package at the event and putting a plan together.
  • Building pre-event briefing documentation and ensuring the staff on the stand are well informed of the activity prior to attending.
  • Work with the BDR team, along with event managers on post show strategy to ensure RingCentral returns expected ROI from the event.
Campaign Management & ABM (Customer & Prospecting) – November 2023 – February 2024
  • Work with the campaign team to execute a single campaign focussed on a specific product or message
  • Identify which marketing channels would be best suited for the campaign and put together a thorough campaign plan
  • Build reports and email sequences to drive the best return from the leads that the campaign generates
  • Work with Sales on putting together a personalised account plan for a specific company they are targeting.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to bring all marketing channels and activities together in to one plan.
Digital Marketing – March – May 2024
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to get an overall idea of how RingCentral utilises Paid Search, SEO and display advertising to expand our digital awareness on platforms such as Google and Bing.
  • Run reports and analytics on campaign success and track ROI within the CRM.
  • Complete competitor analysis to support strategy planning
  • Run social media advertising campaigns
Content and PR – June – August 2024
  • Manage content projects and ensure they are delivered on time
  • Liaise with our third-party vendors around our PR relationships and content syndication plans
  • Sending thorough content plan briefs to our freelance writers
  • Working with the content manager on social media content plans as well as updating weekly blog content within WordPress
  • Bringing fresh content ideas to the table and executing those along with the wider content team

Responsibilities:

  • Organisation of event calendar, owning the planning of logistics and the hand-over to sales teams on the day of the event
  • Working with BDR / Sales team on lead handover and feedback to ensure all leads are worked and we optimise our lead quality at all times
  • Building campaign plans that incorporate multiple marketing channels. Using reports and analytics to constantly improve the campaign and provide feedback to sales/BDR
  • Supporting Sales with their efforts to drive brand awareness in to a specific target account. Using Landing pages and digital advertising
  • Complete competitor digital analysis to drive value in to RingCentral’s digital investments
  • Manage and update the UK Blog with fresh content and maintain our social media channels

Qualifications:
  • You need to be currently studying a marketing-related degree
  • Your studies allow for a work placement as part of your degree
  • On target for a grade of 2:1 or higher
  • Placement runs July 2023 – August 2024
