Can you use your creative and admin skills to help us bring our charity to life? The role will play a crucial part in the development of our charity by helping to activate our Marketing Communications Plan and Fundraising Strategy.
This placement is part of the New to Nature schemeoffering 18 to 25-year olds across the UK a paid 12-month work placement that helps to protect our planet. We particularly welcome applications from applicants who are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, living with a disability or are from low-income households, however you do not have to have one of these characteristics to apply.
The role will involve elements of:
- Promoting our activities on Eventbrite, social media and external listings
- Creating engaging content for our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Updating content for our website (managed on WordPress)
- Designing leaflets and digital content in Canva
- Writing press releases and blog articles
- Designing e-newsletter campaigns in Mailchimp
- Managing our image bank
- Delivering marketing activity for our fundraising campaigns, e.g. The Big Green Give
- Monitoring Google analytics and analytics of marketing campaigns
- Sending timely thank-you’s to all those who donate to our charity and accurately recording their data
- Database management of our CRM system
- Writing low value grant applications
- Supporting events to promote our work.
The role will form part of our small Fundraising & Marketing team including a Fundraising Manager and Project Officer (Communications & Fundraising).

Terms:
- Salary: £10.90 p/hour
- Hours: 35 hours a week
- Closing date: 5pm on Wednesday 17th May 2023
- Terms: One-year fixed term until 16th July 2024 (start date is 17th July 2023).
