The role
Are you an experienced marketer in academic publishing looking to take the lead in an important area of marketing - textbooks?
Bristol University Press (BUP), encompassing the award-winning Policy Press (PP), is looking for a fixed-term Marketing Executive to cover maternity leave.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be leading on marketing the Press’s growing textbook list and also be responsible for marketing subject lists, including preparing marketing campaigns for books and journals, preparing our exhibits at conferences, running review campaigns and working closely with authors.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities and will be motived, enthusiastic and conscientious. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines and accuracy and attention to detail are crucial. Experience of marketing in a publishing or academic environment is essential and experience of academic publishing would be ideal.
