This role is very varied in that you will be involved in all marketing activities for all our sports and brands. The ideal candidate has experience across multiple forms of marketing in order to create and execute marketing plans and campaigns using several different channels. A keen interest in bike/snow/outdoor/watersports is also essential to learn and advocate each brand, its product range and core ethos. Being adaptable and changing to suit each brand is a must, as using the correct brand tone and portraying the brand personality is vital when handling the marketing activities of our portfolio of brands. The ability to manage marketing budgets and create cost-effective campaigns is essential.
Working with the MD, our Brand Managers, suppliers and customers means you will always be busy - so excellent time management skills are essential. You will need to be organised in all aspects of your working life and must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations and opportunities. Dealing with so many individuals means you must be a great team player. It goes without saying that you must have excellent communication skills – in every way – face-to-face, phone and written.
Skills required:
- A marketing/business degree, CIM qualification or 2 years’ experience in a marketing role at an agency is an advantage
- Experience growing social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
- Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
- An eye for detail – vital for picking up on errors where necessary
- Creative ability & copywriting – essential for running campaigns
- Content creation – an understanding of design and proficiency using creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud/Photoshop or Canva is an advantage
Day to day tasks include:
Social Media Management
- Creating and scheduling weekly social media content for each brands’ social channels on Instagram, Facebook & TikTokGeneral day-to-day handling of social media accounts: Posting stories, responding to messages and comments
- Creating and analysing monthly social reports
Advertising
- Experience running paid social media adverts to increase reach, engagement, brand awareness and sales conversions
- Liaise with industry magazines to secure adverts and advertorials
- Design and plan print advert artwork
Email Marketing
- Using Mailchimp to create visual emails for weekly B2B mailshots
Event Planning
- Organise and coordinate promotional materials, displays and POS for events
- Plan and create promotional campaigns and activations for each event
PR
- Reach out to press contacts to explore opportunities and build relationships
- Produce and distribute press releases
- Product seeding – sending products for reviews with key industry press
Website Management/SEO
- Experience using WordPress/Elementor is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of copywriting for SEO is desirable
- Write and upload weekly blog posts on brand news, product launches, athlete/ambassador news etc
Ambassador/Athlete Management
- Liaising with brand managers on athlete/ambassador budgets and opportunities
- Work with athletes/ambassadors on activations and giveaways
