Purpose of Role: The Marketing Executive role helps support the development of the consumer-facing brands at The Crown Estate, as well as helping position and strengthen The Crown Estate’s corporate reputation. The role requires drive and collaboration combined with commerciality, exceptional organisational ability, and marketing experience to help drive our destination brands and reputation forward by developing and delivering marketing plans and activities. Working closely with the Marketing Director and Consumer Marketing Managers and working laterally to support the rest of the London and Marketing team, this role will support in the day-to-day management of London marketing activities with management of external agencies. The successful candidate will be required to undertake certain admin tasks as well.
Main Accountabilities:
- Support MD/MM with the development and delivery of the destinations marketing campaigns
- Take ownership of the always on channels, whilst managing the external agencies (websites, social media, always on media buy)
- Curation, commissioning and development of image (asset) bank
- Assist the L&R team in the coordination, organisation and delivery of external customer and consumer-facing events
- Attend events as required to ensure full oversight and to make sure things
run smoothly - Deliver elements of the marketing business plan as directed
- Produce briefing notes and review campaigns, offering analysis and
recommendations for improvement - Admin support with raising POs, updating budget tracker, preparing
presentations and reports - Become familiar with The Crown Estate’s brands, business units and group
functions to be able to provide proof-reading and approval support to the
Brand, & Marketing team - Maintain and take a proactive approach to the procurement of services
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Customer Partnership & Marketing team and other employees within The Crown Estate
- Deal professionally with internal and external customers, suppliers, contractors, respecting the various needs for confidentiality
Knowledge, experience & skills:
- Experience and proven track record in communication and marketing work
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal colleagues, external consultants, and stakeholders
- Degree educated, or equivalent level of related experience
- Strong understanding of digital channels
- Experience of:
- PR and communication
- Assisting delivery of marketing activity from planning through to launch
- Agency management; dealing with designers and copywriter
- Evidence of measuring and evaluating campaign and event success, illustrating ROI to the business
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Service focused approach with excellent customer service orientation
- Effective communication skills both written and spoken
- High standard of literacy, proof reading and editing skills. Sound numeracy skills, previous experience of working with an online financial package would be advantageous
- Team player with ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to build strong relationships with agencies, customers and stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
