level= is delighted to be supporting Brentford Football Club in their search for a talented Marketing Executive for their office in West London.
Brentford Football Club is a Premier League football club based in the London Borough of Hounslow. The Club was founded in 1889 and has been through a period of great change in the past year. Brentford moved to a new 17,250-seater stadium with outstanding facilities for fans, broadcasters, corporate guests, and the community in the summer of 2020, having previously played at their historic Griffin Park home for 116 years.
The Role of the Marketing Executive:
After a successful first season in the Premier League, Brentford FC continues to attract a new fanbase, both looking to attend matches and engaging with us online. This growth is set to continue apace after launching a new website in July 2022. This is an integral role within Club Marketing, with the aim of understanding, servicing, and growing the fanbase. It is the responsibility of this role to ensure fans’ experience is consistently positive across both online and offline touchpoints.
Reporting to the Head of Club Marketing, this role will be responsible for nurturing the relationship with both existing and new fans from their first visit to the Brentford website to their first visit to the Brentford Community Stadium.

Marketing Executive Responsibilities:
- Through personalisation and loyalty, efficiently and effectively repeatedly get the brand and products in front of each relevant audience and navigate them from where they are to engage and/or purchase at high conversion rates. Understand what type of content drives each customer decision using audience segmentation
- With the development of a new website, ensure user journeys are tailored and personal with the most relevant content served to each fan. Consult analytics to improve dwell time and engagement and strive for constant improvement through innovation
- Manage the department’s input to an improved loyalty program. Use gamification and rewards to drive repeat purchases and fan happiness. Identify opportunities and use loyalty to drive desired behaviours
- Support all marketing campaigns; ensure a flexible and agile approach, with adequate support within the department and across the business. Be proficient and have experience in social media, CRO, SEO, PPC, app management and User Experience design and testing
- Ensure that all digital activities are fully integrated and pulling in the same direction daily, regardless of channel or device
- Owning platform analytics and reporting ensures that all decisions are evidence-based with the aim to continually improve digital performance, engagement, personalisation, loyalty and UX across all digital platforms, including the website, app and eCommerce
- Drive the efficiency of our owned channels ensuring the user experience is optimised from awareness to conversion. Establish hierarchy and conventions to enable best-performing content to fulfil engagement potential. Monitoring of performance across all channels
- Liaise with partners, broadcasters and other third parties to deliver events that contribute towards Brentford FC’s strategy and meet core KPIs
- Play a key role in delivering Brentford FC Season Tickets and Membership packs. Managing the process from outset to delivery, collaborating with internal stakeholders, fan groups and third parties to define pack branding content and advise on pricing, ensuring consistency of Brentford FC brand
- Working with the Insights and Strategy team to own brand analytics and reporting
Marketing Executive Person Specification:
- An understanding of using Content Management Systems and Google Analytics
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Team player
- IT literate and competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- The ability to adapt & respond quickly to environmental changes. Pro-active and a self-starter
- A passion for Sports Marketing
- Knowledge of the consumer-focused digital world
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated, able to work quickly and precisely, multi-task, and respond to a variety of needs, sometimes under pressure
- Planning, systematic and analytical view with respect to the delivery of business opportunities
The Package:
- Basic salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum
