About the Role

We are currently in the process of migrating our existing Windows Forms based client into the web. Whilst the existing functionality must be migrated the front-end web application will be largely green field in terms of UI design and build.

We are looking for an experienced Front End Web Developer to join our existing team of developers to hit the ground running. As a front-end developer, you will be working with product owners and our UI/UX team to deliver our main application.

Hours of work: Flexitime available, core hours of 10am – 3pm Monday – Friday must be worked, and you must work 37.5 hours per week.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with vanilla JavaScript or JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, AngularJS, VueJS)

o We use ReactJS with Typescript so experience here is a bonus but appreciate the other frameworks are transferable

  • Excellent knowledge and skill with CSS and Styling frameworks such as Styled Components, Bootstrap, Foundation, Semantic UI, Material UI etc
  • Experience working with version control systems (GIT, SVN, Mercurial)

o We use GIT provided by Azure DevOps (previously VSTS/TFS)

  • Experience with front end build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, Grunt
  • Experience with NPM and Nodejs tooling
  • Must be comfortable working with REST API’s
  • Experience writing testable code with unit tests and working in a test-driven manner using JavaScript test frameworks (MochaJS, JEST, Puppeteer)

The ideal candidate will have (by no means essential):

  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced AGILE team with experience working in Sprints
  • Experience developing NodeJS server-side applications
  • Experience working with and developing GraphQL API’s
  • Architecting enterprise applications
  • Experience working with CI/CD tooling building deployment pipelines with Jenkins, VSTS, TFS, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy
  • Experience with containers Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience or interest in working with server-side technologies (ASP.NET Core etc) and architecture
