Job Description Parkinson Lee Executive Search are delighted to be partnering with National Education Group in the appointment of a Marketing Director to join their team in Sheffield. National Education Group (NEG) are a market-leading provider of digital content and software solutions, helping educators worldwide ensure compliance and drive up standards. Over the last 5 years, the company have experienced exponential growth and now provides expert-led CPD, information services and advanced management tools to over 44,000 schools worldwide. Now Private Equity owned, NEG are entering their next phase of growth both organic and through acquisition, making this a crucial position in the Senior Leadership Team. Reporting into the Chief Marketing and Programme Officer, leading a team of 11, the Marketing Director will be delivering marketing strategies which cut through the noise and further cement National Education Group as the leading provider of digital content and software. Key Responsibilities will include: Supporting the Board of Directors with hitting the KPIs for the company Delivering a purposeful marketing plan to drive online sales, awareness of their offering and supplying effective lead generation results through all relevant channels Management and KPI setting within each marketing channel including Online, PR, Advertising, Social Media, Events, Email Marketing, Data and Customer Comms Efficiently manage and grow the marketing department; making it an productive and fun department to work in Measuring and reporting performance on all marketing campaigns; reporting weekly and monthly on all outcomes Managing and reporting on the marketing budget, ensuring all spend links to delivering the core business goals CRM management; utilising Hubspot to maximise opportunities for the business Proposing and developing new and creative strategies to deliver business targets Managing and procurement of relevant data; all managed within the CRM (Hubspot) Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with Marketing leaders that can demonstrate: Solid and proven leadership experience within Marketing, currently working at Director level or as a Head of with proven SLT exposure, ready to step up Proven ability of creating and delivering measurable marketing strategies and plans that have supported a business through a growth cycle Experience of working within the Education Tech sector would be highly advantageous, however transferable industries will be considered (e.g. Professional / Financial Services, Healthcare, Higher Education, Tech Services) Previous experience of working within a Private Equity environment or alternatively exposure to a business that has gone through significant growth in a short period of time, either organically or through acquisition Strong experience of developing strategies around Digital Acquisition and Email Marketing is essential Exceptional leadership skills, able to build, develop and lead high performing teams Ability to communicate sensitive information through the correct channels and adapting tone and language for the audiences Previously managed external suppliers and agencies focused on brand awareness and lead generation/acquisition Comfortable using social media from both paid and organically for brand and lead generation Experience with Hubspot or similar CRM system with Advanced IT skills Flexible with a hybrid role and able to commit to sometime spent in the Sheffield office For more information about the opportunity or to have a confidential discussion please contact Sarah-Lee Neesam on All direct and third-party applications will be sent to Parkinson Lee Executive Search.
