Job description
Healthcare Assistants are responsible for assisting patients with all levels of care, from taking vital signs to assisting with physical mobility, performing wound dressings and administering medication. In addition to routine nursing work, the right candidate for this position will be able to work independently, manage patient care and adhere to all confidentiality agreements placed on staff.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a healthcare team.
- Understand and follow appropriate infection control procedures.
- Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition and respond as appropriate to the needs of the patient and family.
- Act as a liaison between patients and families, physicians, nursing staff, other health care professionals and the hospital administration.
- Work as part of a team.
- Navigate the health system to find information on the status of patients.
- Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient's condition and respond as appropriate to the needs of the patient and family.
- Be caring and compassionate toward children and their caretakers.

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: £11.00-£16.00 per hour
