The Role
We are looking for a Marketing Designer to join our Marketing team in our head office in London. The current team consists of three people based in our Milan office.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Actively support the team in the creation and updating of marketing content and documents, such as presentations, factsheets, commentaries, fund info, papers, and online digital content.
- Contribute to the overall marketing plan with ideas for new content and new formats.
- Contribute to writing, proof reading and editing all English written material.
- Monitoring media coverage and maintaining relationships with our public relations consultancy in London.
- Brainstorm ideas for the continuous improvement of the Algebris online presence such as social media channels, corporate website (UI, customer journey, visual design), and mail-outs.
- Help the team with a growing number of video and audio editing projects.
- Support other teams in the London office with their UK-oriented and English based projects or content production (e.g.: podcasts)
- Manage and maintain the marketing equipment and print asset inventory in the London office.
- Provide on-site support for local events (general setup, marketing material).
- Coordinate with local suppliers for the production and printing of marketing materials.
- Perform competitor analysis regularly and report back to the wider marketing team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, media or related field.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of concepts of branding, type design and motion design.
- Basic knowledge of social media, SEO, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office apps such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to write creatively across a range of media.
- Knowledge of media and journalism.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Candidates may also have the below (although these are not prerequisites):
- Personal interest in finance, investing and markets.
- Motion design and video editing skills with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and the WordPress CMS.
- Familiarity with audio equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Italian.
Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: Up to £24,865.26 per year
