Job description
The Association of University Administrators (AUA) is the professional association for university professionals. For over 60 years, we have supported the professionalisation and advancement of higher education administration and management by connecting and developing HE professionals. We help our members realise their potential as HE professionals by providing a range of opportunities to identify their development needs and achieve their career ambitions.
The AUA is embarking on an exciting evolution as we redefine our purpose and offer to the sector. Our new strategy, supported by a new modern and bold identity, will be launched at our annual conference in July. Find out more about the AUA.
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role within a small, committed and ambitious team at the heart of UK HE. This role is where an all-round marketer will flourish, because you'll be getting involved in a wide range of marketing activities. With a 'hands-on' approach, you'll get great exposure to the senior leadership team and the Board of Trustees from the outset.
You will work with the team to grow the AUA membership and promote the AUA as a crucial part of the HE ecosystem. Supported by the Membership and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will:
- Produce engaging content to showcase our membership offer.
- Contribute to developing and delivering targeted campaigns to reach established and new audiences.
- Utilise the full capability of available communication tools, including videos, podcasts, website, CRM, social media, email and digital publications.
- Film video on location or online and edit footage in post-production, whilst keeping up to date with industry trends and tools to support marketing campaigns and organisational needs.
With a passion for and a proven ability in digital marketing, you will be comfortable delivering results-driven campaigns to promote a company's products and services to customers. Your experience will include producing and editing marketing content, tracking the reach of campaigns and conducting market research with customers. You will also have basic videography skills and some experience producing marketing videos for social media.
It will help if you are self-motivated, with good attention to detail, which ensures that our published content maintains the quality of our brand. In addition, your interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to collaborate effectively, share knowledge and insights with colleagues, and develop relationships within HE organisations.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
