We are a highly motivated department, seeing in excess of 150,000
patients per year across 2 sites. You will be working in a team primarily
based at Peterborough Hospital covering a variety of medical and surgical
specialties.

The hours of work are based around the needs of the service between
8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., Monday to Friday but may include some
Saturday work as necessary
Assist the nursing staff, clinicians and service users within the Outpatients services
on a daily basis.
- Meet & greet patients and service users during clinic times
- Manage clinic activity in a timely manner
- Basic use of computer programmes and appointment lists
- Carry out & record patient observations.
- Undertake training to enable you to perform ECG’s , Trial without catheter, bladder scans & phlebotomy services.

To work closely with multi-disciplinary teams
To prepare simple procedure trolleys
To communicate appropriately with healthcare professionals, patients and carers regarding
any information or instruction as required
To document fully and precisely any observations undertaken
Carry out chaperone duties
Demonstrate a commitment to continued personal development, undertaking training to
develop skills that are relevant to the clinic area.
Participate in the moving and handling of patients requiring assistance.
Assist in the preparation and support of patients undergoing procedures & treatments.
