Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Young’s has a unique opportunity available for a Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join the team at The Crown Tavern. The role is a full time, permanent position but for the right candidate we may consider a part time role.
Pubs have been at the very heart of Young’s since the Company was established in 1831, and today we have over 200 pubs and hotels, from contemporary vibrant pubs to small warm and friendly traditional favourites at the heart of their community.

What are the responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Coordinator?
- Identify and build local business to business relationships with key organisations
- Grow the sales & marketing database
- Create and implement innovative events/activities that secure group/corporate bookings without relying on heavy discounting and without undermining the pub or Young’s’ values and ethos
- Manage, promote and market the pub to our customers through the delivery of a digital and social marketing strategy. Be apprised and au fait with current marketing and social media trends.
- Maximise sales and marketing opportunities around key dates in the events calendar and maintain and on-going sales & marketing plan
- Negotiate third party deals that drive bookings, footfall, website traffic and ultimately sales
- Explore marketing opportunities with local businesses, street markets, festivals, charities, artists, etc.
- Identify new revenue streams, fully utilise venue space, maximise sales
- Weekly reporting of sales & key metrics to the General Manager & senior management team
- Manage delivery of marketing plan and events program for the venue
- Promoting & maximising the venues position as a Wedding venue (with wedding licence)
- Be the port of contact for couples looking to hire the venue for their day, issuing meeting note follow up, contracts and briefing the venue team on the day
- Working with the Kitchen team for events
- Generate opportunities to continue growth through engagement with our customers and the team
What do we look for in a Sales and Marketing Coordinator?
- At least 1 years sales and marketing experience within a relevant capacity.
- Have industry awareness and ensure understanding of the competitive market is up to date
- Genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro-active approach to driving sales
- Confident at building new relationships and maintaining existing ones.
- A strong networker, an existing network of candidates would be beneficial.
- You must be self-motivated, outgoing and the drive to smash your targets
- Excellent planning, budgeting, time management and prioritising skills
- Good attention to detail, creative flair and an artistic eye
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- A good working knowledge of the main social media platforms and having evidence of managing and using these to promote positively
- Organised and experienced when liaising with and writing to and issuing meeting notes to guests
