Full time internship or recent graduate opportunity (May–November) with a possibility of extension or permanency
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Marketing Coordinator to manage the planning and logistics for marketing events, programs and activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory and consumable items, as well as coordinating transport and travel logistics for marketing events. In addition, the Junior Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for finding venues for events, updating event playbooks, and managing landscape association memberships.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and management of inventory and consumable items: You will be responsible for managing the inventory of marketing materials and consumable items such as promotional items, signage, and printed collateral. You will also ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that materials are ordered in a timely manner to support upcoming marketing events.
- Transport and travel logistics: You will be responsible for finding and booking optimal transport options for marketing events, including flights, ground transportation, and accommodation. You will also manage rooming lists, calendar invitations, and other logistical details to ensure that all attendees have a seamless travel experience.
- Finding venues for events: You will be responsible for researching and finding venues for marketing events, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with vendors to ensure that events are executed flawlessly.
- Updating event guides and documentation: You will be responsible for updating event playbooks to ensure that all marketing events are executed consistently and efficiently. This includes documenting best practices, standard operating procedures, and other relevant information to ensure that events run smoothly.
- Managing association memberships: You will be responsible for managing landscape association memberships, including renewals, membership fees, and attending association events as needed.
The ideal candidate is motivated to build their career as this contract position could be extended into a full-time position. We are motivated to invest in the person's professional development!
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Information Systems, International Business, Communications, Management or the equivalent (graduated or in progress);
- Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken, as our clients are located in Canada and USA;
- Proven multi tasking, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent client relation, interpersonal and selling skills with a natural ability to build relationships;
- Must be a “roll up your sleeves” type who is focused on achieving results and detail oriented;
- Entrepreneurial, "Out of the Box" thinking;
- Ability to be self-directed and proactive.
