Job Title: Marketing Assistant (Graphic Design, Social Media, Photography) – 4 days a week
Location: In-House, Parksville, BC
Tigh-Na-Mara Resort, a leading resort and spa on Vancouver Island, is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator with experience in graphic design, social media management, and photography to join our marketing team.
Job Overview:
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to promote our services across multiple channels. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing content, managing social media platforms, and taking photographs for various marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have excellent graphic design skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating content that engages and resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create visually appealing content using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for various marketing channels such as print, digital, social media, and email.
- Manage social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, creating engaging content, scheduling posts, and monitoring performance.
- Take high-quality photographs for use in marketing campaigns and collateral.
- Collaborate with other departments and executives to gather content and input.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing, graphic design, communications, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, graphic design, social media management, or photography.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
- Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Proficient in photography and editing software such as Photoshop or Lightroom.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, take direction, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to take on new projects and challenges with other team members
- Experience working in the hospitality or resort industry is a plus.
