Job description
- Work with internal stakeholders and clients to develop, plan, and execute marketing email, social, and digital campaigns for personalized events built around editorial and client goals including audience development plans for each event, which will include e-mail newsletters, one-to-one outreach, paid and organic social promotion, etc.
- Create and manage focused and effective lead lists to seed event invitations
- Identify partnership organizations who can amplify reach with relevant audiences
- Produce compelling social media and email content to help expand awareness of events and track its effectiveness to help optimize future campaigns
- Develop, execute and iterate on a cross-channel strategy to highlight compelling moments from The Hill’s curated conversations
- Create promotional materials and social posts highlighting our value proposition.
- Effective understanding of paid, owned and earned social media tactics
- Experience using analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
- Highly resourceful team player, also able to be extremely effective independently
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization, analytical, and prioritization skills
- Able to accurately handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy
- Interest in and general understanding of public affairs, government relations and advocacy
- Ideal candidates will have experience recruiting audiences for virtual and in-person live programming and prior experience within journalism, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing
