About The Role
The Marketing Specialist, Segmentation will be a key part of the team that ensures the customer plan is delivered in a timely and accurate manner; supporting our important company work on segmentation, tailoring our offer and trade plan to each store segment.
You’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery & communication of our customer planning activity. Working closely with the commercial teams to build a customer focused trade plan, driving sales and improving the promotional offers and variety for customers.
Always ensuring that promotions are clearly articulated to our colleagues and help to create clear guidance on how to implement the campaigns in store.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
To build on our current trade plan, making our offer more relevant to more customers
Building buy-in across business teams, driving change to BAU processes to drive profitable sales
Testing and learning ideas of how we can segment our plan better, tracking performance of these ideas and rolling out successful programmes.
Managing the critical path across the business unit to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
This role operates over a four day working week*. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.
- The four day working week comes with the requirement to work 11 Saturdays per year. These days are shorter (six hours in total) and are mainly used for personal development, quarterly team meetings and supporting our store and site colleagues.

Essential
Experience of the commercial marketing sector
Experience of retail environment and ensuring compliance with policies & procedures
Understanding of commercial and marketing functions
Proven track record of delivering in a large organisation; Ability to manage multiple projects
Analytical and creative with Commercial and financial understanding
The ability to look for ways to improve customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity
A team player with a positive attitude
The ability to work under tight time constraints and reactively
Desirable
Ability to use specialist consumer reporting tools to aid in data led business decisions
