Senior Events and Recruitment Marketing Recruitment Advisor


Location: Manchester, Bristol, London, Glasgow, Birmingham

A new opportunity exists in our new candidate experience centre of excellence to create the most exciting candidate driven recruitment marketing and events strategy for EY.

Reporting to the Head of Candidate Experience, you’ll have an exciting remit, leading a small agile team to create an exceptional experience for students on all candidate pre-engagement activity, such as candidate attraction supporting the wider student recruitment team and business stakeholders the value and benefits this brings.


You’ll be responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging diverse early career talent from universities and schools across the UK and developing rich candidate experiences from attraction, events, nurturing talent pools and conversion journeys that bring our EVP to life across service lines.


You will use data to make the right decisions on how we need to engage with students to ensure stronger conversion and candidate advocacy. What brings our student team together to deliver numbers? It’s how we efficiently manage all candidate touchpoints and drive efficiencies. From events thought leadership, encompassing digital and in person, you’ll shape their journeys working on events from concept, to live to evaluation across the whole of student recruitment working with campaigns. that are unique, bringing joy to thousands of students and the highest quality experiences. This will include follow ups, assessing engagement from early attraction to offer.


Your Key Responsibilities:


Attraction

  • Development of dynamic tagging and tracking strategies of the end-to-end candidate journey from first point of brand interaction to offer stage
  • Defines the candidate experience in partnership with campus and schools’ teams
  • Leading on strategic brand and marketing campaign strategy across pre application touchpoints ensuring Employer Brand have a clear brief for execution
  • Develops an effective yearly marketing and attraction plan aligned to hot spots/youth activation proposition with EB
  • Designing team standards for the total candidate experience (in person and digital events) aligned to merchandise plans
  • Manages QR strategy and all calls to action for the wider talent pool strategy
  • Develops competitions for candidates to convert to hires
  • Holistic merchandise strategy that is based on candidate feedback and within budget
  • Provision of talent insights to Employer Brand to generate the most effective advertising campaigns
  • Development of talent profiling to develop story boards and attraction strategies for niche, hard to fill roles


Events

  • Collaborating with the campaigns team to support the planning and delivery of high-fliers, big campus, schools, early ID programmes, digital, virtual to the highest standard.
  • Defining the key principles and priorities of our end -to -end candidate experience across all pre applicant engagement activity, including:
    • Pre- applicant – post event follows up and conversion comms strategy definition and delivery, event and event follow up ROI against cost, time and hire metrics
    • Candidate – nurturing candidates through the process, EYX etc
    • Offer Holder conversion - develops events conversion tracking volumes and ROI and a events metrics calculator team and viability models
  • Management of each event’s budget, ensuring each event meets its goals on diversity and registration to application hot spots, supporting the campaigns team with post event data and tracking to ensure the highest conversion success

Conversion

  • Developing candidate experience journeys that stand out from the crowd
  • Designing a great pre applicant experience that aims to convert passive applicants to applicants
  • Develops annual comms strategy to nurture talent pipelines
  • Developing warm candidate pools through strong comms and automated strategies
  • Ensuring the top of sourcing strategies are fed to the post applicant team
  • Ensuring the most diverse candidates are prioritised and nurtured creating the most exceptional EY experience


Technology

  • Embedding of candidate conversion and retention strategies through technology platforms such as RMP through specific nurturing journeys
  • Develops candidate focus group for brand activation strategies using partners / existing talent pools that provide talent profiling and marketing strategy with EB to allow a tightly defined brief for marketing partners
  • Thinks of innovative ideas to engage candidates, links to digital journeys (how do we hook them into EY)


MI & Reporting

  • Produces and interprets data to assess ROI on all team events and attraction activity to help shape future strategy
  • Able to produce management/pipeline reports for team and business as required and can identify when data is not accurate or of questionable integrity
  • Accurately collects and reports on data for specific KPI’s or produces reports for the team and internal stakeholders


You must have:

  • A passion for student recruitment, either via prior experience or a desire to learn
  • Line management experience of a small team
  • Proven experience creating and delivering a recruitment marketing and employer brand strategies to engage with candidates
  • Experience of candidate experience and candidate journeys
  • Natural creative ability with a passion for storytelling
  • Experience in event management and delivery
  • Experience delivering highly engaging projects and working with multiple suppliers, both internally and externally
  • Natural eye for data - you're able to turn numbers into a story and use this to inform decisions
  • An understanding of how different marketing campaigns work and where they
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Confident excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc)


Ideally, you’ll have:


  • Experience of either schools or university recruitment (ideally both)
  • Proven track record of executing volume recruitment
  • An understanding of Undergraduate and schools work experience programmes
  • Experience of managing campaigns for multiple positions and building candidate pipelines
  • Social media knowledge and experience
  • Ability to quickly prioritise work and remain flexible in accordance with business needs
  • Relationship building skills – with the ability to challenge where necessary, always acting with integrity and enthusiasm
  • Enjoy teaming and working with others on core delivery and projects
  • Calm and objective when under pressure
  • Experience of public speaking/ delivering workshops to students
  • Social media knowledge and experience
