The retirement marketing specialist is responsible for creating advisor-facing content, in collaboration with our internal and external partners, that positions Commonwealth’s retirement capabilities, insights, and products as indispensable retirement savings solutions for our advisors and their clients. This role is part of a team dedicated to creating and promoting our broad retirement expertise, high-quality solutions, and innovative resources in support of our advisors’ retirement business.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating meaningful, actionable content about our retirement products and services that focuses on benefits to our advisors and their clients
- Supporting Strategic Retirement Solutions initiatives in partnership with our team, internal and external subject-matter experts, and partners
- Proactively supporting consultants and management by crafting meaningful messaging about new offerings, updates, and changes
- Delivering high-quality, up-to-date collateral for our advisors and their clients
- Maintaining marketing and communication assets
- Organizing and creating promotional materials for advisor-facing events and webinars, working alongside our partners and team stakeholders
Core Strengths and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services marketing, preferably with a focus on the retirement plan/IRA market
- Experience planning the cadence and timing of marketing communications based on advisor needs and organizational goals as well as market events
- Knowledge and understanding of independent advisors, their business models, and the retirement plan industry
- Understanding of and affinity for digital marketing, SEO, and marketing technology
- Experience analyzing marketing efforts to optimize effectiveness and reach
- Four-year college degree in marketing, communications, or related field
