About the role
Our Marketing Acquisition team is jointly responsible for the growth agenda of our business, by developing and executing brand awareness campaigns that build visibility, engagement and trust, across our target towns. Working closely with our Commercial Sales function, our MA team brings our message of uninterrupted, connected living to new customers through innovative and engaging Media/PR activity, as well as working with local communities on offline campaigns, events, partnerships and sponsorship activity.
As the Comms and Media Executive, your part in our success will be to shape and deliver these initiatives by;
- Overseeing day-to-day running of local town print and outdoor advertising media activity. This includes:
o Researching media opportunities in or towns.
o Building relationships with media outlets and advertisers.
o Booking in media opportunities and scheduling them in the local town activity calendar.
o Working with designers (both inhouse and external agency).
o Ensuring all media deadlines are met.
o Negotiating on advertising spend with external parties- working closely to a budget.
o Keeping local calendar of activity up to date with media, advertising and comms activity in all our towns.
- Working closely with our PR agency to support on content and copy for press releases and provide initial feedback.
- Supporting line manager on adhoc regional and national comms, media and advertising activity.
- Working closely with and supporting the events and sponsorship executive.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, and would be looking to broaden their experience and knowledge in brand and comms. Knowledge, skills & experience
- Experience gained in relevant/comparable comms/events role.
- Strong organisational skills- ability to multitask to a high level.
- Project management experience.
- Proof-reading ability/ strong written communication skills
- Professional, forward thinking approach with the ability to build immediate rapport and strong relationships with internal and external business contacts, as well as presenting the face of the brand itself to potential customers.
- Can-do attitude, willingness to get involved at all levels, easily able to prioritise and multi-task, including working to tight deadlines
- Flexibility and willingness to attend external events
