RMBC are seeking an experienced dynamic Marketing and Business Development Manager who will lead and develop Rotherham Theatres marketing and business department.
Rotherham Civic Theatre welcomes more than 70,000 customers a year with a programme of professional and amateur shows and the much-loved annual pantomime. The theatre has recently undergone a significant front of house refurbishment and plans are in development for a new Centre for Performing Arts in the heart of the town centre.
The Marketing and Business Development Manager is a key operational role within the management team. Responsible for the delivery of marketing strategies, communications, press and social media campaigns alongside the management of the Box Office physical and digital services. The Marketing & Business Development Manager will:
Lead the development and implementation of high quality, engaging marketing and communications supporting the theatre’s programme of shows and events.
Work across communications channels including print, digital, social media, press and film to increase awareness, engage new audiences and drive box office sales.
Work alongside the Theatre Manager to negotiate new and existing commercial relationships with producers and touring companies negotiating marketing campaigns and strategies.
Creating and working alongside a pool of freelance photographers, copywriters, videographers, and designers to support the creation of dynamic content across a range of communications channels.
Develop and implement fundraising strategies and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
Line manages, inspire, and develop a small team incorporating box office and marketing services.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded of three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part-time).
