Job Summary:
The Solutions Marketing Manager position is a key role on the Trane Commercial Americas Solutions Marketing Team that is responsible for executing marketing strategy for Trane’s building automation software, connected buildings and equipment controls (hardware), smart building SaaS solutions, and related consultative services. We’re in an exciting time of innovation - both with new products and reimaging how we package and deliver our existing solutions.
This role will support the Senior Marketing Manager and team in rolling out the new marketing strategy for cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Smart Buildings and more. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll bring product marketing expertise and best practices to help deploy new and existing solutions packages. You will create compelling value messaging and deliver content such as blogs, presentations, white papers, and more. You’ll also manage your marketing work with agency partners and in-house teams, while measuring and optimizing efforts.
You’ll have opportunities to work with Trane Portfolio Leadership, Trane Technologies Corporate Innovation Teams, and Marketing & Strategic Sales Leadership, and Sales Enablement. The work is aligned with our strategy to innovate for our customers and decarbonize the built environment. It supports our bold commitment to reduce 1 Gigaton of CO2e from our customers’ footprint by 2030.
This role is part of the Solutions Marketing Team reporting to the Senior Solutions Marketing and can be Traditional (On-Site), Hybrid or Remote within a geography, based out of our Davidson, NC, Minneapolis-St.Paul, MN, or La Crosse, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Support portfolio strategy
- Contribute market insights and customer data
- Partner with product managers to understand business objectives and create compelling messaging.
- Support new offer development and market activation and in-line product/service marketing
- Collaborate with other marketing team members and the portfolio leadership team to ensure a holistic, integrated plan is developed with specific, relevant metrics that can be tracked/shared
- Develop, execute, monitor and optimize the marketing plan for assigned area
- Lead tactical execution of established strategies to drive meaningful results within the business
- Participate in brand awareness, demand generation and sales enablement activities for assigned portfolios and personas
- Oversee and manage marketing projects with agency partners and internal marketing resources
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or communications
- 5-7 Minimum Years of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar/related experience
- 3+ Years experience marketing SaaS, software as-a-service models and/or professional services
- Proactive approach to delivering work within scope
- Highly collaborative across cross-functional teams
- Effective written communication skills
- Agile learner with demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently define, communicate, and adjust strategies and plans
- Ability to translate technical information into impactful customer messaging and marketing content
- Experience with product marketing to develop compelling stories and bring products/services to market
- Experience working with Marketing & PR Agencies
- Understanding of marketing metrics and ability to use the data to optimize channels, tactics, messages, etc.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SEO, SEM, account-based marketing and content marketing
- Prior marketing experience with any of the following is a plus: enterprise SaaS, IoT, Smart Buildings, engineering firms, corporate or commercial real estate consulting.

Base Pay Range: $76,000-156,000
