PR & MARKETING MANAGER
This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Partnerships and will execute across public relations and digital marketing, with the opportunity to impact other communications and brand channels pending experience and desire. This is an exciting, dynamic role with a very real path for learning and advancement. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, driven, entrepreneurial, deadline-oriented, and organized, working well autonomously while possessing a love of brainstorming and ideation with a team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent writing skills, preferably in a wide range of styles and tones. This individual will split their time working remotely and onsite throughout locations in San Francisco.
Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and nurture relationships with local and national media
- Collaborate on and implement effective PR strategies and communications plans
- Track the progress of PR campaigns and evaluate their performance
- Draft and send outbound media communications as well as respond to inbound media requests and inquiries, coordinating with internal operational teams to facilitate
- Coordinate logistics of influencer and media dines
- Support social media campaigns by executing community engagement and posting stories across 3 diverse accounts, as well as assisting with content as applicable
- Ideate and collaborate on strategic, creative, executable initiatives with potential across all marketing and communications channels
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s overarching brand strategy
- Maintain organized digital shared storage, especially up to date, labeled imagery files
- Draft marketing activity reports, presentation materials, and brand copy
- Sustain local SEO strategy
- Update materials, calendars, web content and relevant third party platforms
- Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive sets
- Continue to develop industry knowledge and keep up with trends, regularly sharing best practices
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years work experience as in-agency senior account executive or account supervisor, or in-house communications manager
- Deep and current knowledge of media relations, digital marketing, and social media marketing
- Working knowledge of influencer management
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Dropbox
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working with brands in the luxury sector
- Passion for and time spent working in the hospitality industry, in any capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, media relations, or communications
- Working knowledge of Later, Instagram, Mailchimp, Muck Rack, Canva, Monday, Tock, Open Table, Resy
- Working knowledge of Wordpress, HTML, and other digital design software
