Ross Sporting Activites Ltd are looking for a Operations & Marketing Manager to join our team.
We operate Rodway Hill Golf Course (Gloucester) and Pilgrim Hotel (Herefordshire) - This role will be based between both venues and will expand and evolve as the business grows.
The role will require 3 days a week at Rodway Hill GC and 2 days a week at Pilgrim Hotel.
Your Role:
- Social Media - Facebook, Instagram & YouTube for Rodway Hill GC & Pilgrim Hotel.
- Print Marketing - Rodway & Pilgrim
- Website updating / Online Sales
- Internal Communications / Team Memo’s, Team Management Requirements, To Do lists etc.
- MailChimp Email Marketing to existing database and integrating further data on a regular basis.
- Venue signage, Management requirements for marketing etc.
- Full knowledge of internal and external IT systems - Training Given.
- Face to Face interactions with Golf Membership, Visitors, Societies etc through main reception work.
- Ensure compliance of H&S, Fire Risk etc throughout venues owned and operated by us as required.
- Assisting managers with day to day HR issues or needs for staff.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the business on a day to day basis including at times ‘getting your hands dirty’
- Reporting Directly to the MD and the MD’s requirements of the businesses needs.
- Ensure all the teams within the business receive the support they require from you.
- You will need to learn all aspects of the business to gain an understanding of the challenges each department faces on a day to day basis.
- Main reception at the Golf Course Will account for 20 hours a week, during this time you will need to undertake normal reception duties whilst maintaining current workload.

- Well presented and confident
- Good customer service skills
- Previous experience in the hotel & leisure industry preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently
- Flexible to overcome challenges during operations of business.
- Methodical worker and good listener
- You will represent the MD when not in attendance at both venues and have regular meetings and discussions at the highest levels of the business.
