The Senior Automated Marketing Manager has at minimum 5 years’ experience managing high performance teams in the automated marketing space. This full-time home worker position requires a strong self-starter this is responsible for a growing team of marketing specialists. This person intrinsically knows what drives customer engagement and conversion and uses that knowledge to strongly influence strategy, content, and voice for all email campaigns across the business. They will have demonstrated experience leading in an agency model trafficking large amounts of marketing requests. Communicates email campaign results and remediation with team and partners to drive continual improvement. Maintains awareness of all email marketing efforts directed at our customers keeping each program unique and avoiding redundancies and operational entanglements with our business partners. Maintains the highest level of email deliverability and flags when customers are in danger of market saturation. Facilitates a clean and robust customer database, shepherding contacts from onboarding through sunsetting phases of their journey.
Will guide their team’s strategy and tactics, career growth, and prepare team members to be elevated to the next phase of their professional journey. Recognizes the team’s strengths and weaknesses, encourages their reports to stretch themselves and their capabilities and also push and encourage each other. Admits to team or tactical shortfalls and strives to fill or fix them. Manages team workload and SLAs with internal and external partners avoiding bottlenecks, missed deadlines, communication and coordination errors, and strategic mishaps.
Continually evaluating the automated marketing landscape and isn’t afraid to refine or completely rebuild platforms or process to better serve our marketing and customers’ needs. Confidently backs up marketing results with reports and data, but also speaks to consumer motivators that usually hide from data analysts. Recognizes when email is not the optimal solution and encourages marketing partners to utilize the most suitable channel for the task at hand. Expertly blends with Web and Digital Marketing groups allowing our marketing plans to leverage all channels fully and leverage each channel’s performance potential and return on investment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with key roles and functions within the business including the Database, Digital, Media, and Event Marketing teams to drive best practices in campaign segmentation, campaign pathways, and segment messaging.
- Work closely with the technology team to make sure our tech stack is fulfilling our customer and business needs.
- Guide team’s development of both static and triggered email campaigns, plus testing of email content and send methods.
- Responsible for team’s analysis of current email marketing campaigns and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensuring all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.
- Working closely with the Demand Generation Director to develop a clear CRM strategy.
- Own our email templates using graphics, personalization, and advanced features.
- Track acquisition and campaign performance and present results and ideas for improvement to Demand Generation Director as well as peer managers.
- Work with the Event and Media Marketing Teams to track content performance, recommend improvements, and report on analytics.
- Ensure the email database is properly maintained and best deliverability standards are utilized.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years related marketing experience, with proven automated marketing success.
- 5+ years’ experience driving a strong marketing team is essential – you know how to get the most out of your team, know when to delegate and when to take ownership, and how to build future leaders.
- Expertise in marketing automation tools - Eloqua required
- Analytical background and knowledge of marketing analytics tools with the ability to translate complex data into actionable marketing plans (Omniture, email metrics, Google Analytics a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting data through excel or PowerPoint presentation to all levels in the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with multiple teams.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Outstanding project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- The pay range for this position is $95,000 - $97,500 depending on experience
