Job Summary
Tapping into the power of traditional and digital marketing, the Marketing Manager connects people more deeply to God by introducing them to Hope Media Group Brands. Working under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, they’re responsible to execute world class marketing campaigns designed to attract and grow a new and existing audience nationally. This position will utilize multiple marketing mediums and platforms including push / pull marketing, branding, imaging, signage, media buys, print, online, graphics, messaging, content distribution, campaigns, digital communications, media events, and video – in collaboration key leadership and stakeholders – so that even more hearts can hear, see and experience what Christ’s life changing love can do!
Essential Functions:
Marketing
- Develop and implement “push marketing” tactics that include media buying for billboards, print, television and all forms of digital advertising channels.
- Create and manage integrated marketing/communications plans.
- Manage design projects and provide direction for visual communications.
- Maintain brand standards across all platforms and creative elements.
- Coordinate and execute sponsorship agreements based on the direction of supervisor.
- Provide strategy and execution for paid social media ads for all Hope Media Group Brands.
- Provide concrete, understandable marketing metrics and listener focused, fact-based decision-making (Measures for success include Arbitron CUME).
- Reduce friction within all communication / distribution channels.
Project Management
- Ensure that all approved requests by the Director, Marketing are managed from initiation to completion, within timelines, budgets, and results meet or exceed expectations.
- Maintain project management software, department capacity and alignment with strategic goals for all department projects.
- Serve as marketing representative on project teams for major initiatives.
- Document all project activities, including meeting agendas, recaps with actions items, and ongoing updates to project stakeholders re: progress, results, areas of opportunity, and lessons learned.
- Develop and manage internal and external relationships with staff and vendors.
- Deliver and summarize data from ad campaigns.
Programming, Digital Content, Promotions and Outreach
- Elevate local and national awareness of Hope Media Group brands and online landscape, with the goal to grow listeners and increase loyalty among existing listeners.
- Support station initiatives, as directed by the Director, Marketing.
- Collaborate with Programming and Promotions to develop strategic and compelling messaging.
- Ensure that all marketing communications align with on-air messaging.
- Promote and market the beliefs and values of each Hope Media Group brand.
- Manage content and brand consistency.
- Ensure the marketing voices represent appropriate channels and is approved by Program Director.
- Work with Programming Director(s) to create brand standards and compelling messaging for the target audience.
Demonstrated Faith
- Pray for coworkers in team meetings
- Lead prayer in large group settings as needed
- Pray for donors when called upon to do so
- Use Christian principles to work through conflict as outlined by the Culture tool kit
- Participate in Sharathon, PowerDrive and Thankathon, and pray for donors over the phone as needed
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
- Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications or equivalent
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years marketing and public relations experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- This person must be a strong project manager, able to lead teams of people, meet competing deadlines, and possess strong communication, creative, analytical and leadership abilities.
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in market research, analysis and tracking
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally
- Understand audience for all KSBJ family of brands
- Heart for Christian ministry
- Strong moral character
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
- Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
