The role:
You will create and deliver strategic marketing campaigns to maximise the commercial opportunity for your events. You will utilise the full marketing mix to exceed lead generation, conversion, and revenue targets, balancing tried-and-tested activities with new ideas across all channels. Specifically, this involves:
- Managing the data research process with key stakeholders to target the right audience
- Comprehensive and detailed campaign analysis to identify key levers
- Effective email marketing, copywriting, data segmentation and use
- Leveraging affiliate marketing through speakers, sponsors, media partners and associations
- Engaging social media strategy and management
- Autonomy over marketing budget allocation at event level
- Planning and co-ordinating project team meetings
As a Marketing Manager, you will also be expected to:
- Delegate core tasks to the Marketing Assistant team
- Deliver induction training for new starters within the marketing department
- Contribute to training for junior marketers and assistants
- Be part of wider cross-functional projects on behalf of the marketing function
A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- 2+ years’ marketing experience in conferences or exhibitions
- A proven track record of successfully running your own marketing campaigns
- Ability to carry out marketing plans autonomously
- Highly effective time management and prioritisation of short and long-term projects
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to apply copywriting principles to external marketing communications
- Able to conduct robust data analysis to inform the direction of the marketing campaigns
- Able to provide manager and project teams with detailed feedback
- Excitement about driving commercial results through marketing
- Understand the mission and values of the department and organisation
- Experience of the following desired (but not required): Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, Google Adwords

£34,000 - £40,000 + profit share (£38,000 - £46,000 OTE)
