Overview:

Dennison Commercials Ltd is the sole Volvo Truck & Bus dealer and the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in Northern Ireland. Encompassing Dennison JCB, we are also the official JCB dealer for construction, industrial and access equipment and generators in Northern Ireland and Donegal.

Location:

The role will be based at our Head Office in Ballyclare. Occasional travel to our regional depots may be required on an ad hoc basis.

Role Duration & Hours of Work:

This position is temporary for an anticipated period of up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The hours of work will be 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Remuneration

Rate of pay will be dependent on experience. About The Role

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow through on implementation of the existing 2023 marketing plan and assist in the development of the 2024 annual marketing plan
  • Liaise closely with market company for both brands (Volvo & JCB)
  • Management and organisation of promotional events and trade shows
  • Agree message and develop artwork for advertisements, literature, e-mail content etc
  • Work closely with the senior management team to plan and manage business development campaigns across different market territories
  • Website management, website content creation and agency management
  • Management of social media platforms
  • Set the brand tone for all social media and marketing activities
  • Management of photography and video content/creation for company products
  • Consistently monitor web analytics and action required updates
  • Agreeing PR campaigns, write press releases and distribute to media
  • Source and liaise with third party specialists including web developers, designers, printers & photographers
  • Research and report on industry trends, competitor activities etc
  • Liaise with press and media outlets as required
  • Working to strict deadlines and good with project management, i.e. a variety of projects running simultaneously
  • General administration duties
  • Other duties which may be required from time to time depending on the needs of the business

Required Criteria

  • Must possess a third level qualification in marketing or similar related discipline
  • Have previous demonstrable experience of IT systems and be familiar with MS Office packages (Excel, Word etc), social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc) and email platforms (MailChimp, DotDigital)).
  • Proficient in events management
  • Development of campaign plans and budgets
  • Possess the ability to prioritise, organise and manage a busy workload
  • Display initiative, creativity and enthusiasm in all aspects of their work
  • Candidates must be a fast learner and have the ability to work on own initiative
  • Candidates will have a good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business internally and externally
  • Possess a flexible and proactive working attitude
  • Possess a full driving licence

Desired Criteria

  • Experience of SEO
  • Experience of Google Analytics
  • Experience of Adobe design suite such as InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Experience of Agency Management
  • Knowledge of Google Ads
  • Experience of working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
