The Opportunity

Join Coveros today as an accomplished Senior Marketing Manager and begin introducing our four annual conferences to new and existing audiences immediately. STAR and Agile + DevOps conferences connect software practitioners with cutting-edge concepts, practical solutions, and today's most relevant topics in software testing and delivery. These four annual industry-leading conference events complement our online communities and Coveros' consulting, training, and coaching services.

We seek a Senior Marketing Manager who will drive conference registrations by communicating the unique value of speaker sessions, in-person networking, and relevant training (and more!) available through these events. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who wants to add big value as a member of a close knit marketing team.

From content management through project management, you enjoy owning your work and measuring and reporting its effectiveness. A stellar command of written and spoken English is essential as you both create content and rely on superior proofing and editing skills to review others' content contributions. Prior experience planning and executing successful lead generation and marketing campaigns is another key for success as a Senior Marketing Manager on our team. The ability to think strategically and orchestrate many moving parts is a must. An experienced Marketing Manager who previously created a successful campaign(s) and executed all the deliverables, personally, can hit the ground running in this role.

While focusing on personally delivering high quality marketing programs, the opportunity exists to perform as a Scrum Master for our events team. Someone who has worked as a member of an agile team or who has led an agile team can readily embrace our vision for the Senior Marketing Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related equivalent is required.
  • 7+ years of email marketing campaign experience with Marketing Automation tool is required (Marketo preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience copywriting and proofreading is required, a focus on copywriting for technical audiences is a plus
  • Minimum 1-year web administration/CMS experience is required (Drupal is preferred)
  • Experience creating, managing, and optimizing paid display and PPC advertising is required
  • Experience with event marketing or software engineering marketing preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate their experience optimizing campaigns against ROAS and ROI
  • Experience forming & leading Agile teams preferred
  • Able to operate on East Coast working hours

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategy, plan, document, execute, and measure weekly conference event marketing plan including: email marketing, internal and external advertising, media partnerships, etc.
  • Responsible for the strategic direction and overall tracking and marketing success of the conference products.
  • Responsible for the production for all conference marketing collateral materials including: brochures, flyers, digital assets, web banners, website images, email templates, etc.
  • Manage conference marketing budgets to ensure competitive pricing, alignment of actual and quoted costs, and make suggestions on how to use any unused dollars.
  • Provide metrics and analysis for conference marketing efforts with suggestions for improvement.
  • Manage conference email schedule to ensure each event product email targets the right people and avoid oversaturation of the list. Execute email design and copywriting to ensure we are marketing the right message.
  • Create, execute, and manage a competitor evaluation program and incorporate this intelligence into our marketing model.
  • Manage the conference websites and execute/coordinate new site builds, content updates, site enhancements, and report bugs to the IT team.
  • Own the design and execution of marketing and lead generation campaigns for multiple products and/or communities
  • Define campaign objectives, target audiences, strategies, and identify the optimum marketing mix of deliverables, events and media
  • Create/maintain and deploy marketing assets including product collateral, website, emails, and other tools as needed
  • Ongoing execution of campaigns and programs including timelines, ROAS/results, changes/improvements
  • Communicate campaign plans and results to internal and external audiences and secure executive and cross-functional support
  • Own the creation and articulation of the product messaging for their suite of products and communities
