Marketing Manager

Our SPAR convenience stores are more than just a local shop and as a member of our Marketing Team, you will have a really important role to play in creating communications to promote our brand, our products and our stores.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team as a Marketing Manager at our head office in Saltash, on a contract of 35 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop and manage our inhouse PR communications, creating suitable copy and liaising with Trade and Consumer press titles.
• Create and coordinate marketing campaigns to support new store launches, redevelopments, charity and community activity.
• To provide content for our consumer and retailer websites and social channels.
• To lead and support the wider team on all Marketing activities that sit outside of product promotions.
• Identifying measuring marketing outcomes to increase the efficiency of marketing activities within the company.

The successful candidate will have:

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent demonstrable creative copyrighting and proof-reading skills.
• Previous PR related experience.
• Previous Marketing experience across multiple disciplines, preferably related to retail stores.
• Good typography skills and an eye for detail.
• Good presentation skills would be an advantage.
• Identifying measuring marketing outcomes to increase the efficiency of marketing activities within the company.

• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• A strong creative flair, and a strong visual and verbal sense.
• Confident, with the ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple marketing projects at one time.
• Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence stakeholders.
