Role overview
We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join our team in London. Reporting to the CEO and COO, this role will lead on the day-to-day management and delivery of the marketing operations of the company.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Content origination: coordinate with colleagues to identify themes for reputation building to target audiences, plan specific content, specific authors (to build their personal brand reputations along with Operis’s), media to be used, and timing, and track this;
- Manage marketing communications through full range of channels, specifically: the Sugar CRM system, MailChimp, the website, the company’s LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube accounts, manage Google analytics and track progress;
- Manage all traditional and online marketing activities in line with agreed plans and objectives, ensuring activities are monitored and adjusted based on performance metrics;
- Monitor marketing spends in line with agreed budgets, ensuring maximum value is extracted at all times;
- Maintain lists of Operis’s credentials, segmentable by product/service line, sector territory and client;
- Coordinate events organised by Operis and attendance at events organised by others;
- Manage the Operis Alumni Network;
- Contribute to the design of integrated campaigns and manage their delivery;
- Coordinate the design and production of all marketing collateral;
- Ensure all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is thoroughly proofed and adheres to brand guidelines, vision, values and themes;
- Other duties, as necessary.
Experience, knowledge and skills
Candidates do not need to have prior experience of working within the financial services sector – a creative, innovative, proactive and resourceful approach will go a long way. The experience, knowledge and skills that are required are:
- Experience of online promotion and advertising
- Experience in using Google Analytics
- Experience of e-mail solutions, including Mailchimp
- Experience in using CMS (WordPress)
- Experience in managing social media platforms
- Business-to-business marketing experience in professional services or software sales
- Experience in working closely with a sales or commercial team in execution of lead generation programmes
- Excellent writing skills, including copy writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant and common software programmes
- Ability to analytically interpret data and other market information
- Excellent understanding of digital marketing trends and opportunities
- Technical knowledge of SEO and website analytics
- Enthusiasm for developing own marketing skills and experience
Desirable criteria:
- Understanding of LinkedIn promoted posts
- Aptitude for and / or interest in content delivery in video form
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant graphics design tools, along with CRM, Mailchimp and other E-marketing tools
