The role
Support the Campaign team on the activity calendar and project planning for the home category.
The marketing Assistant will report directly into Senior Campaign manager – Home, but will work as a general assistant for the Brand marketing function as a whole. This is an intrinsic role in our developing team and an opportunity for the successful candidate to support the team on the departments output and responsibility which includes - delivery of brand campaigns to implementation, influencer marketing and partnerships, PR and events.
The marketing Assistant role will suit someone immersed within the world of interiors and social media, who understands the latest trends across home, fashion, lifestyle, influencer and social. Life at Debenhams is incredibly fast paced so someone who has a can-do and positive outlook is essential. No day will be the same as the role assists all elements of the Brand team so a clear communicator who is confident, approachable and adapt in forming key stakeholder relationships is vital.
What you'll be doing
- Report direct to Senior campaign manager – Home
- Support marketing and PR activity across the Debenhams home category
- Support and drive Home activity and brief in campaign assets
- Support in the maintenance of brand calendars and planning
- Oversee project plans and pull departments in as necessary
- Assist in collation of PR samples and campaign sample management
- Support PR team on opportunities/ events, partners and press cutting collation
- Assist in presentation and strategy research from brand appropriate influencer partners to industry research
- Assist in creation of campaign and collaboration reporting
- Drive brand partnerships alongside team, from research to outreach and final live partnership
- Contribute ideas and industry trends – all team members ideas are vital
- Deliver on agreed KPIs

More about you
- Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel is key
- Understanding of Adobe, InDesign and Photoshop beneficial but not essential
- Experience working with a brand marketing, PR either in-house or agency role at a junior / assistant level would be beneficial
- Excellent time management – deadlines are critical and attention to detail
- Passion for communications, social media and retail marketing in general
- An intense interest in interiors, fashion and related fields i.e. music / arts / beauty / film and television
- Strong communication skills. The role involves liaising with colleagues and stakeholders both internal and external
- Flexible, adaptable working style with a ability to learn quickly and multi-task
