About the Role:

EMJ publishes journals across 18 clinical disciplines that provide coverage of the leading European medical congresses to allow healthcare professionals to stay abreast of key advances and opinions in their field. Each of these journals is published annually, approximately 6 weeks after the relevant congress.

The Marketing Assistant is a key role within the marketing team and primarily focused on growing engagement of our established healthcare professional audience.

Place of Work: London (Moorgate)

As a Marketing Assistant you will:

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to support existing email campaigns to promote journal launches, podcasts, webinars and more
  • Assist with social media posts on agreed accounts to audiences, and report on the success of each campaign, proposing new ideas/developments where appropriate
  • Establish new relationships and maintain existing ones with external stakeholders (e.g. media partnerships) to extend the reach of our content as agreed
  • Assist market research where required
  • Support departments outside of marketing with additional marketing requirements
  • Contribute to and support marketing opportunities with existing marketing channels, while exploring additional channels
  • Assist the SEO manager with keyword research
  • Support the Digital and Database Analyst with CRM management


About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a related field
  • Experience in marketing or in a similar role
  • Good understanding of marketing techniques/theories and data analysis
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude and excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are executed well and in a timely manner
  • Keen to continuously improve, and driven to be the best version of yourself
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team to achieve a common goal
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Superb English language written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent at building strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • Positive, adaptive, and flexible attitude
