About the Internship
Our Marketing Internship programme is designed to provide entry-level candidates with hands-on training and experience in the field of marketing. The program combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training to help apprentices develop a strong foundation in marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
Programme Structure
The Programme consists of 3 main components:
1. Orientation and Basic Marketing Principles
2. Classroom learning
3. Practical Application
4. Performance evaluation and feedback
Those are used interchangeably to provide the fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical experience you require to develop a strong foundation and build your confidence as a marketing professional. Thought your training you will receive, consistent daily feedback form your mentors and more senior staff to ensure you are maximising your learning and enhancing your skills every day.
1. Orientation and Basic Marketing Principles
- Introduction to the company, its culture, and values
- Orientation to the marketing department and its functions
- Introduction to marketing tools and software
2. Classroom learning
- Classroom training on marketing fundamentals, such as market research, branding, conversion, marketing channels, and content marketing.
- Workshops on marketing principles, such as, brand, positioning and efficiency
- Guest lectures from experienced marketing professionals
3. Practical Training
- Assisting with market research activities, such as conducting surveys, analysing data, and identifying trends
- Assisting with the development of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations
- Supporting digital marketing efforts, such as social media management, email marketing, and search engine optimisation
- Assisting with event planning and execution, such as trade shows and product launches
- Collaborating with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and product development, to ensure alignment with marketing strategies
4. Performance Evaluation and Feedback
- Regular performance evaluations to assess progress and identify areas for improvement
- Ongoing feedback and coaching from marketing mentors and supervisors
- Opportunities for self-assessment and reflection
What we are looking for in a Marketing Intern:
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C.
- Someone who is eager to learn and open-minded, when it comes to learning from everyone.
- Genuine and well-demonstrated passion for working in marketing.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Strong business acumen.
- High attention to detail and ability to spot and evaluate the importance of the finer detail in their work or communication.
- Independent, with strong self-management ability, but also collaborative and able to work well with others.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £26,103.00-£29,101.00 per year
