Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Marketing team for a Marketing & Social Media
Assistant. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our eCommerce team with product uploads on our Shopify website, writing compelling product descriptions, optimizing product listings for improved SEO, and assisting our Social Media team to gather and deliver content. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with a passion for e-commerce and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the eCommerce team to assist with product uploads and reporting on our Shopify website, as well as other sales channels such as Amazon and Laura James
Ireland.
- Utilize Algolia AI and Klevu software to ensure the constant updating of our website with our most recent products, thereby keeping our online catalogue current and engaging for our customers.
- Write compelling product descriptions and optimize product listings to enhance our company's SEO, improving visibility and search rankings.
- Assist our Social Media team with gathering and delivering content across various social platforms, including LinkedIn, Houzz, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Stay updated on the latest marketing trends, platform updates, and industry developments to capitalize on growth and marketing opportunities.
- Utilize tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Google Analytics, SemRush,
Klaviyo, Shopify, and Meta Business Suite for content creation and analytics.
- Enhance the visual appeal of our products and content through basic photo editing when necessary. (Training can be provided)
Requirements:
- Familiarity with the workings of social media channels, especially Instagram, Facebook, and
Pinterest.
- Awareness of the latest trends, news, and hot topics to propose timely and impactful content ideas.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Shopify experience is preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
- Ability to leverage data and metrics for performance measurement and improvement.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
