Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Events Coordinator on a 3 year fixed term basis. The University of Cambridge opened the West Hub in April 2022, delivering a space for socialising, meetings, events and shared workspace for the west Cambridge campus. This role will work closely with both the Event Coordinator for the West Hub and the Hospitality Administrator, based at the West Hub from the University Catering service, as well as externally approved suppliers.
The Role:
Over the next three years the West Hub has a target for developing the buildings audience engagement to improve footfall from key audiences from the West site and wider university in line with the ambitions for the Innovation District development.
The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a pivotal role in developing and managing an events program for the West Hub for the next three years. The event program will consist of up to 35 events targeted at engaging audiences on the West Campus and from the wider University, these audiences include enterprise arms, research groups, post doc, student and residents communities as well as delivering a wellbeing program that is publicly available.
About you:
In order to succeed in this role, you will join us with:
Significant experience in organising and managing the delivery of events preferably in a space that is open to a variety of audience or public building.
Experience of working in a higher education or community facility.
Advanced organisational planning skills, including managing finances program timelines
An ability to devise event risk assessments and champion best practise of a willingness to learn would be desirable.
