About us

Hospital Professional News is a leading publishing and event management company in Ireland's healthcare and pharmaceutical sector - exclusive news reporting, provocative opinion, and expert clinical content.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Marketing and Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic team based in Belfast.

Within this remit, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the editorial and marketing department; utilising your core skills to grow the readership and content Ireland’s leading hospital publication.

The ideal candidate will be central to elevating the editorial content, across our publication, website and all social media platforms; Building and maintaining relationships with hospital content contributors and contact source database. You will be a key team player working alongside the Editorial Director and closely with both our Sales and Marketing Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the marketing, digital & commercial sectors
  • Assist with the delivery of marketing and commercial growth ambition
  • Create and execute the developing content, storylines, written materials and messages such as press releases and proposals
  • Sourcing clinical writers and contributors across a range of therapeutic areas
  • Bring creative thinking to deliver highly impactful work while working to tight deadlines
  • Prepare editorial analytics to demonstrate the success of the teams’ activities
  • Be proactive in relationship building with key stakeholders
  • Outstanding telephone and face to face communication
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to think creatively
  • Proof reading
  • Working to tight timescales

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, Communications, Public Relations, Information Technology, English, Journalism, or any other related field and/or equivalent work experience

OR

At least 1 years in a marketing, PR or editorial role.
