The Hospice Lottery Partnership has a vacancy for a Marketing and Communications Officer working to increase the profile and impact of our organisation, and that of our partner charities. People who like to get involved, solve problems creatively and want to build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts will fit in well.

You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the Marketing and Communications strategy, performing a variety of tasks, from leading the website development and updating content, to creating engaging, and timely communications to our supporters and stakeholders.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (pro-rata) - Depending on experience

Hours: Part Time (25 hours) Monday to Friday

Location: Office based in Tring

Contract Type: Permanent

The Hospice Lottery Partnership is a not-for-profit social enterprise formed in 1997 with the purpose of raising funds, through a weekly lottery, for our partner charities who care for many people in their local community

Person spec:

· Educated to degree level in marketing/ English/ media/ events management or similar.

· Previous experience of working in marketing and communications.

· Ability to produce creative concepts.

· Proven track record of managing different social media platforms and the ability to use digital channels to improve reach/ efficiency and impact of campaigns/ messaging.

· Experience of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders.

· Experience of working effectively with a range of multi-disciplinary internal teams.

· Experience in Google Analytics / GA4 and a strong analytical approach.

· Creative; able to think outside of the box for innovative and original campaigns.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent copywriting for different audiences, media, and channels (including media releases, social, and corporate communications).

· Social media marketing campaign experience.

· Excellent project management skills and ability to manage both planned and reactive work.

· Proofreading skills, with sharp attention to detail.

· Well organised, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Self-motivated, pro-active, and innovative.

· Experience of working in the charity sector.

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing and / or communications.

· Demonstrable experience of developing and managing marketing campaigns.

· Solid experience in evaluating the impact of campaigns and marketing activity.

· Email and content management system experience (including Mailchimp and WordPress).

· Experience of social media management tools, including reporting modules.

Desirable:

· App and acquisition-marketing experience.

· Good creative judgement and experience of digital design e.g., Canva.

· Knowledge of or experience of membership organisations and their structures.

· Line Management responsibilities.
