An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing business as Marketing and Communications Manager
Summary
Caudwell Marine is a start-up engineering company, financially backed by John Caudwell, developing an innovative, patented outboard motor and Vessel Control System for launch in 2023.
The Caudwell Marine organisation is a small but growing, experienced team of people who are passionate about successfully bringing this technologically leading outboard motor to market. Each team member has a ‘hands on’ approach and supports each other for the benefit of the programme.
The Marketing & Communications Lead will report to the Commercial Director to assess market potential & customer needs to define a marketing and communication strategy which will drive market share for Caudwell Marine. You will define and execute a Marketing & Communications plan to ensure Caudwell Marine is viewed as a credible and industry leading brand, with clear understanding of our Purpose, Objective, Strategy & products, both internally and externally.
You will be responsible in defining the most appropriate and effective communication channels to support Caudwell Marine business objectives and execute regular communication via these channels.
Main Responsibilities:
· Define and evidence Value Proposition and Differentiators of Caudwell Marine technology and product solutions to drive marketing message.
· Lead Product Marketing activity to include benchmarking competitor landscape (price, functionality, communication activity) and drive product development roadmap
· Define and execute internal and external marketing and communications strategy, with focus on brand and product launch to drive market share growth
· Develop team to support execution of marketing and communication strategy, ensuring capability and capacity to support marketing & communication strategy
· Define and manage content for all communication channels, with focus on digital communication and customer events
· Define and maintain industry leading website, with appropriate website analytics and KPI's to track success
· Prepare and execute trade show presence and all customer events, aiming to promote Caudwell Marine brand and product solutions in line with business objectives
· Define, maintain & communicate brand guidelines
· Identify and manage agency partners as appropriate
· Create contact database using all appropriate channels & tools, including CRM platform to communicate, record and track prospects received from all marketing activities
Previous Experience:
· Detailed understanding of marketing principles in theory and practice
· Excellent communicator at all levels
· Ability to define Vision and Strategy along with execution plan
· Customer/market focused approach with result's orientated, 'can do' attitude.

Qualifications:
· Educated to degree level in English, media studies, marketing, communications studies, or an equivalent specialism

· Primary location of Stratford-upon-Avon, with the requirement to work with our Manufacturing Partner in Worcestershire.
· Primary hours are 9am to 5pm however candidate needs to be flexible and be able and willing to work outside normal hours when necessary
· 5-day week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
