Why the Marketing Graduate programme?

In Marketing, you’ll help attract and retain customers and clients, communicating the benefits of banking with Barclays. Driven by commercial objectives, the team develops plans to promote our services and win business. Roles include everything from branding to advertising, social media to digital marketing, plus events, sponsorships and sales collateral. Working on diverse projects with this fast-paced team, you’ll learn how to communicate effectively and creatively across a range of marketing channels.


Real responsibility, right away

Whether you work in Barclays UK, Corporate or Group Sponsorship Marketing, every day is different. This fast-moving area will see you take on varied and creative tasks, but you need to be organised and on top of new developments, whether that’s in your industry or in current affairs.


A ‘normal’ day could start with a breakfast seminar for clients in central London, before a meeting with corporate bankers to plan an event focused on technology and global business. You might then spend the remainder of the afternoon working on a number of other smaller project, potentially including:


  • working together with Barclays’ external creative agencies
  • honing your skills as you help us market through social media
  • liaising with internal stakeholders to understand commercial objectives.

What we are looking for:

To be considered for this programme, you must be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree – in any area.


Ideally, you would also have:

A customer-driven attitude with an ability to quickly adapt to change and learn new technologies, as well as a passion for relationship building and being a commercially minded problem solver.
