Your role
Are you interested in a career in Risk Control, focusing on market risks? Are you curious about the risks arising in Fixed Income markets? Do you work well in a team? If so, you may be interested in our open position. We are looking for someone to:
- be on top of market developments and risk positions in the portfolio, ensuring that risks are well measured, understood and controlled
- discuss and challenge trades and risks with trading and senior management
- participate in projects as a subject matter expert
Your team
You’ll be working in the Market Risk team in London which is based on the trading floor and forms part of Market Risk Control. The team oversees the Linear Rates and Credit trading portfolios and sits within the wider Market Risk team covering FX, Rates and Credit. In your role, you will provide an independent and comprehensive view of market risks to Senior Management and will work with colleagues across multiple functions (Trading, Risk Control, Finance, Quants, Business Management and Operations).
Your expertise
- a proven track record as a Market Risk manager, preferably in Rates or Credit
- a strong interest and understanding of financial markets and commonly used market risk metrics
- excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively
- strong technical and analytical skills allowing you to apply quantitative techniques to solve practical problems
- a quantitatively talented individual with attention to detail
- collaborative and enjoy the challenge of working in a global team
- self-motivated and willing to take responsibility
- able to work independently and to deadlines
- fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication
- curious and thrive on intellectual challenges
