Wall Colmonoy manufactures a range of Nickel and Cobalt based powder hard surfacing alloys, Nickel based high temperature brazing alloys and Nickel, Cobalt and Stainless Steel precision cast and machined components.
From its Swansea based European Head Quarters Wall Colmonoy currently serves a significant geographical region including UK, Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, India, Russia, South Africa, Middle East, Canada, USA, Australia and South Korea, supplying products into a wide range of industries ranging from glass container manufacturing, oil & gas, automotive, steel, mining, waste to energy, power generation, food / canning equipment, industrial heat exchangers.
A new positon for a Market Researcher (Business Analyst) has been created as part of the company’s growth strategy to focus on identifying new markets and business opportunities for developing international sales into existing and new geographical territories, industries and customers/partners for its wide range of products
Skills & Abilities:
1. Demonstrable capability in the use of market research and business analysis methods and tools.
2. Excellent strategic, business and commercial acumen

7. A good working knowledge of the aforementioned industries
8. Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of internet based market research tools, use of databases, Word, Excel and Power Point.
Responsibilities:
Pivotal role to manage and coordinate all WCL market research activities.
Conduct own specific and targeted market research.
Conduct market research and coordinate findings utilising independent freelance researchers. Create a structured database of knowledge gained.
Engage with Welsh Government and other relevant agencies / market research organisations that can provide research and International Business Development support for WCL, with cost and value for money a key commercial consideration.
From the market research, systematically conduct market size and attractiveness assessment, identify potential customers, document competitor analysis, identify and quantify business opportunities and prepare business cases to justify sales and marketing investment to target and develop WCL’s target markets.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of business developments and trends in WCL’s target markets.
Develop a tracking and reporting system for capture, collation and analysis of market knowledge, competitor activity and the emergence of new competitors.
Provide regular and frequent feedback of activities to the business in the form of presentations and reports.
Translate research into drafting customer communication, such as press releases, news, social media posts, case studies etc
Active member of the Global Marketing Team, ensuring a consistent approach and corporate alignment for all marketing activities.
Responsible for the Marketing team based in Pontardawe, providing management and support to the Marketing Co-ordinator.

Based in Pontardawe, Swansea, South Wales
Reporting:
This position will report to the VP Global Marketing (with a dotted line to the Commercial Director)
Performance will be measured against agreed KPIs linked to company strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
Good Honours degree in Marketing / Market research or Economics / Finance supported with relevant applied market research experience.
European languages: Fluent in English: German, French or Spanish would be an advantage
5 years experience of conducting market research in a B2B manufacturing environment
