As a Marketplace manager, you will be at the forefront of our dynamic and results-driven department. Collaborating closely with our leadership and talented team members, this multifaceted role will empower you to wear many hats, leveraging your experience to drive new initiatives and gain invaluable insights into the inner workings of a scaling 9-figure e-commerce business.

This exciting role has the potential for fast growth within the department whilst learning the fundamentals of how an e-commerce business scales.

Your role will include:

Growth Hacking

  • Help drive marketplace growth by innovating new ways to optimise key performance metrics & drive sales
  • Offering valuable support and recommendations for external growth projects, such as advertising campaigns, affiliate/influencer marketing, and other strategic initiatives aimed at propelling our business forward.
  • Project-managing split tests to enhance key metrics, ensuring seamless execution in alignment with company processes.
  • Collaborating closely with senior team members to gain insights into the overall marketplace strategy and actively contributing to its implementation.
  • Assisting in the execution of project briefs, adeptly managing tight deadlines and handling multiple projects concurrently.

BAU

  • Ensuring seamless synchronisation across all major marketplace platforms, including Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart, ensuring they are up-to-date, aligned with our direct-to-consumer business, and fully compliant with industry guidelines.
  • Collaborating closely with customer service, operations, and other cross-functional teams to optimize and maintain the department's overall efficiency.

Data

  • Understand key sales metrics, analyse data, and generate actionable insights.
  • Providing comprehensive reports on performance and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Make data-driven recommendations that contribute to the team's success.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in marketplace algorithms to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions that will keep us ahead of the competition.

Relationships

  • Actively engaging with Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy representatives, nurturing and managing ongoing relationships with these key marketplace partners.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for these platforms, effectively communicating PetLab Co.'s needs and objectives, and addressing any issues or inquiries that arise.
  • Leveraging your interpersonal skills and industry expertise to negotiate and advocate for favourable terms and conditions on behalf of PetLab Co.

Requirements

What You Need…

  • At least 2 years with a DTC brand, agency, or Start-up
  • Experience with marketplace management, with a focus on Amazon.
  • Strong analytical skills with exposure to A/B testing and sales metrics
  • Knowledge of online strategies, user experience, and business development.
  • Project management experience
  • Strong attention to detail: high accuracy in all organisation, documentation and system reporting processes.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify areas for development.
  • A curious, innovative growth mindset with the confidence to drive change.
  • An ability to collaborate with others, take accountability for own work and actively contribute to team projects.
  • A passion for pets.
