This is a rare opportunity to join the Market Insight & Competitor Analysis team.
This team forms part of the broader Customer, Market and Strategy Team and plays a vital role by providing insight on market and competitor activity and Santander’s performance against the peer set to a wide range of internal stakeholders.
It makes use of a wide range of internal and external data sources to deliver both regular and adhoc insight to meet the strategy priorities of the business.
As a Market Insight Analyst, you’ll report into the Market & Competitor Insight Manager and play a key role in contributing to the on-going effectiveness and future growth of the team.
The difference you’ll make
- Delivering scheduled and adhoc market and competitor insight in a relevant and timely manner, and in accordance with agreed business priorities.
- Supporting and, where necessary, taking direct ownership of data submissions to third-party firms for the purposes of benchmarking our performance against the market and peers.
- Contributing to the future development of the team and it’s service offering.
- Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party firms to support effective delivery.
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of our tools and a deep understanding of the market and our competitors.
What you’ll bring
- Fast learner with strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise data and information from multiple sources and distil it into clear, relevant and timely insight for our stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and very good written and oral communication skills.
- Superior knowledge of MS Office tools in general and of Excel in particular.
- Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated with an open and flexible attitude to change. Willing to propose new ways of doing things.
It would also be nice for you to have
- Able to demonstrate a familiarity with the consumer financial services market and products
