Market Development & Reporting Analyst
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Full time, flexible working hours
Location: Whilst your base office will be in London, we’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to offer face to face support and collaboration on a weekly basis

Salary: Circa £40k, depending on experience + excellent benefits
Join EDF as a Market Development & Reporting Analyst and you will play a critical role in delivering insight and continual improvement into the commercial performance of the Portfolio Operations wholesale trading team.
The Market Development & Reporting team are responsible for providing insight into the commercial performance of the Portfolio Operations team; reporting on the value created through forward trading, providing insightful reports on commercial risks & market trends, and identifying ways to improve commercial performance.
The opportunity…
As a core member of the Market Development & Reporting team, you will provide strong informative and relevant reporting to key stakeholders within the business, develop high-quality performance reporting whilst identifying commercial successes and areas for improvement and provide support to the team when influencing regulatory change related to our wholesale market trading activities.
You will provide support and feedback to new hedging strategies and curve trading, perform ad-hoc insight and analysis as required to support the Portfolio Operations team and support on interpreting and responding to industry consultations/regulatory change.
What we’re looking for…
We are looking for a driven, self-starter who can manage numerical analysis to draw clear and insightful conclusions to improve business and trading performance. You will need to be able to work collaboratively across the Wholesale Market Services department and the wider company to deliver successful insight and drive change.
As the Market Development & Reporting Analyst, you will have strong analytical capability, good attention to detail and strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience in the energy industry and knowledge of Python and AWS would be beneficial, but not essential.
