Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal clients to understand analysis requirements and propose solutions
- Perform hands on analytical work including database querying, coding, report building and statistical modelling for complex marketing campaigns
- Deliver market and competitor analysis, campaign proposals, financial forecasts, test plans and in-depth results for card linked offer campaigns
- Prepare written documents and slide packs to communicate analysis findings to internal and external clients
- Deliver analysis results to internal clients in frequent face-to-face meetings and presentations, and from time-to-time in external client meetings
- Identify potential efficiencies in the work of the Insight team, and contribute to streamlining, automating and improving the quality of our processes.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 2+ years of hands on experience of analytics work in a marketing, retail, or ad tech context, working with data at large scale
- Enjoys coding and using tools to analyse, summarise and present data
- Sound mathematical and logical reasoning. Able to bring structure to complex problems
- Commercial focus – a broad interest in business, economy, retail and consumer behaviour
- Able to communicate complex issues clearly in writing, and face to face
- Brings a methodical, organised approach to tasks, maintaining attention to detail under time pressure
- Able to manage own time. Understands the importance of hitting deadlines and managing client expectations in a fast-paced, deal-driven commercial environment
- Holds themselves to high standards in both quality and quantity of work
- Technical Skills
- SQL (Essential) writing and troubleshooting queries involving complex joins, functions, aggregations, subqueries etc
- Excel (Essential) creating and adapting spreadsheet models including complex formulae, charts, pivots, array functions, lookups etc
- Tableau (Highly Desirable) creating reports, dashboards
- Python (Useful) experience with libraries for data querying, visualisation and statistical analysis
- Likely to be educated to degree level in a STEM subject, economics, operational research, or data science
