Marine Project Engineer
· The position offers a mix of projects-based activities working within the office, whilst supporting field installations, services, and repairs on various marine vessels worldwide.
· Flexibility to travel is required for this position.

We are currently recruiting for a Marine Project Engineer with experience in mechanical/electrical engineering within an established SME that provide installation and project supervision of range of marine products including electrical cabling, navigation and communication systems and ballast water tank systems to name a few.
Due to continued growth, the business is looking for an experienced project engineer who can offer flexibility between projects-based activities whilst working in the office and lead projects with hands on repairs / services / installations from time to time. The position offers a blend between field duties and being office based. Field work is generally overseas so there is an element of international travel with this role.
Salary & Package: £37,000 to £42,000 basic as a guide with scope to develop. All expenses covered when working away from the office. Overtime is available.
This Marine Project Engineering job will suit:
· Essentially have some prior experience working within the Marine Sector and have some form of experience with associated mechanical and electrical products used on maritime vessels e.g., Navigation Systems, CCTV, Radar etc. We don’t need you have experience across all these areas as wider development can be offered where needed.
· Comfortable working out in the field / on marine units in general. This is a hands-on role with office / smaller project management duties too.
· Some form of electronics qualification. An Engineer who is keen to develop within a specialist sector and has some transferability.

The Experience You’ll Bring
· Previous hands-on experience within a Marine Engineering or industrial environment, a background with submarine’s, platforms or surface ships would be advantageous.
· Experience writing and preparing quotes, work completion reports and client facing documents.
· Experience with a proven track record of rectifying/repairing faults, conducted planned/reactive maintenance, testing activities and the ability to carry out valve repair/maintenance, pipework repair and weld preparation would be advantageous.
· You will be able to understand and read drawings and can think on your feet and problem solve with a high attention to detail and fault finding.
· Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work to meet rigorous acceptance standards.
· Experience of maintenance & installation procedures, risk Assessments, method Statements, COSHH assessments and Safe Systems of Work with excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
Location is flexible dependent on the right candidate.
