Overview of Vacancy:
Manufacturing technician to join a successful company based in Brentford, Greater London. Exciting and practical work with excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate, including overseas travel. We value the skill potential that our staff can bring through education. Therefore our technicians are expected to achieve a minimum of HNC qualification in Engineering (mechanical or electronics).
Job Description:
The candidate will learn various skills to support the development of new products and manufacture and assemble the company's core products. The candidate will be required to work with general workshop tools and electric soldering irons, and training will be provided on their safe operations. The candidate is expected to have a reasonable standard of numeracy skills required in many aspects of work. The work is exciting and varied, and the candidate can perform specific development tasks on their own once they have received sufficient training. The candidate will report to and be managed by the production manager.

Working week:
0800-1600 Monday to Friday (can be flexible)
Personal Specification:
Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic and friendly and able to learn new tasks quickly. Aptitude for electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering. Flexible and positive attitude to life.
Qualifications:
GCSE – 4 good passes. Subjects should include Mathematics and English.
HNC in Engineering.
Skills:
The candidate should be comfortable working with tools/soldering irons and with a good level of numeracy. The candidate should also have basic computer skills and good interpersonal skills, as direct contact with suppliers is often required.
Salary is dependent on experience.
