As Well-SENSE continue to grow our unique FiberLine Intervention business we need to increase our manufacturing capacity while ensuring that we continue to deliver fault free products to our partners and clients.
The Workshop Technician will work within a small team in on all aspects of equipment assembly and testing. This provides an opportunity to build specialist skills in fibre optics, high-tech manufacturing, electronics assembly, and general production skills in quality assurance, quality control, inventory management and equipment testing.

Job Summary:
Primary responsibility for the manufacturing, assembly and testing of FiberLine Intervention probes to the required QA standards.
General support of all workshop operations including preparation and load-out for operations, assisting with R&D, stock control and inventory managements.
Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required:
- HNC or above in relevant engineering discipline.
- Previous experience working with electronics.
- Evidence of mechanical, technical, and analytic knowledge.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
- Be willing to travel if required.
- Good dexterity / experience working with complex components.
- Adhere to the Company's Safety Procedures and Policies.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate well.
Advantageous Qualifications/Experience/Skill
- Previous experience as a Electronics Technician
- Fibre optic knowledge
- Forklift licence
- Gantry crane training
Experience in a stock control/warehousing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tool assembly and test in accordance with written procedures.
- Wiring, soldering and testing of instruments/devices.
- Calibration of equipment.
- Pressure testing and qualification of equipment.
- Troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality inspections on products and parts.
- Prepare products for shipping.
- Organise logistics for equipment mobilisation worldwide.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Operate hand/power tools.
- Other tasks as deemed necessary to ensure the successful deployment of FLI.
